Diálogo # 4: The visit of Francis Deng

In the last issue of the Diálogo Bulletin, James Luptom -from Christian Aid Colombia- analizes the impact of the vistis to the country by Mr  Francis Deng -delegate of the UN General Secretary and author of the Deng Principles- who visited Colombia twice in the last years.  Luptoms reviews how this visits have afected the action of the NGOs, the international cooperation and the state agents.

The second edition of our leaflet Diálogo has issued, this publication is available in printed and electronic formats.

This time, Diálogo Bulletin devotes its central article to the visit of Mr. Olara Otunnu to Colombia, this person from Uganda is the Special Representative of the United Nations' General Secretary for the children in the armed conflict, and visited Colombia for eight days. Inter Agency Dialogue in Colombia DIAL issues in the Internet the first edition of its two-monthly Bulletin Diálogo, which central topic is the analysis by Constantino Casasbuenas, Colombia local director of Oxfam, of the role of NGOs in the attention of the forced displacement problem in Colombia 

There are also the brief reports and calendar section, and also our necessary editor's note


OUR MISSION

Based on a humanitarian vision and in coordination with the Colombian Government, the international community and society at large, DIAL seeks to influence, both the definition and implementation of policies and humanitarian actions leading to solutions in the crisis areas of the displacement of persons and the need for sustainable human development.

DIAL does not finance or develop projects, neither does it manage the programs of the agencies that belong to
